Job summary

Goodreads is seeking a Product Designer to join the Design team in San Francisco. You will own the design system, craft flows for web and mobile, and collaborate with engineers, researchers, product teams to deliver reader-centric experiences.

You'll shape AI-enabled design tooling, mentor teammates, and advocate for user-centered practices across Discovery, Reading, Tracking, and Community. 3+ years of design experience and a strong portfolio are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design experience
• Online portfolio or samples demonstrating end-to-end design solutions across desktop and mobile
• Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
• Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer
• Experience in visual design demonstrated through mockups and style guides
• Experience collaborating with developers for implementation

Responsibilities

• Own the design and enablement of the design system for core reader experiences across web and mobile
• Manage the design libraries and tooling and educate the team on best practices
• Create customer-centered designs using feedback, research, data, and trends
• Create flows, wireframes, design mockups, prototypes to conceptualize and deliver great experiences
• Partner with design, product, and engineering to define systems and AI enablement of design work
• Conduct evaluative research with User Research to validate design choices before and after development
• Advocate for design and present to cross-functional teams with clear rationale
• Give and solicit feedback to continually raise quality
