Product Designer — BuildOS for Manufacturing Engineering

Job summary

Dirac is seeking an early Product Designer to shape the BuildOS suite for manufacturing engineering. You will own projects end-to-end, from research through release, influencing structures, flows, and surface details for complex, data-heavy workflows.

You will work across product strategy, prototyping, interaction design, visual design, and frontend development with manufacturing engineers, operators, and customers, including factory floor time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience, ideally designing complex B2B, technical, or professional software.
• High technical acumen and experience designing complex systems, workflows, and information-heavy interfaces.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, from early concepts and prototypes through polished production-ready designs.
• Experience owning projects end-to-end, including research, problem definition, design, implementation, and release.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from pencil to release across research, product strategy, prototyping, interaction design, visual design, and frontend development.
• Shape Structure-flows, information architecture, and wireframes—and Surface-layout, typography, color, and interaction polish.
• Design across BuildOS including 3D CAD interaction, structured data authoring, document generation, and shop floor workflows.
• Define patterns, primitives, and interactions that make complex workflows feel like one coherent product.
• Understand spreadsheets, internal tools, and manual processes users rely on today, then design faster replacements.
• Contribute to Dirac's design language, design system, and product standards, and collaborate with Product and Engineering.
