Job summary

Dirac seeks a Forward Deployed Manufacturing Engineer to translate real-world build processes into BuildOS workflows. You will embed with customers during pilots, shaping adoption and guiding teams through model-based workflows.

Based in New York City, this hybrid role involves frequent travel to sites. You’ll collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and product teams, delivering structured workflows and actionable improvements while upholding ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
• Experience working in or closely with manufacturing environments.
• Strong intuition for how things are built in the real world.
• Ability to break down and structure complex assembly workflows.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• High ownership and comfort working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer assembly processes into BuildOS workflows.
• Create and structure work instructions from CAD and engineering data.
• Lead onboarding and drive adoption during pilots and early deployments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams.
• Identify inefficiencies in customer workflows and propose improvements.
• Partner with product and engineering to surface high-impact feedback.
• Support demos, technical evaluations, and customer check-ins.
