Job description

About Aerostrat

Aerostrat is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company building a complete maintenance planning solution for the aviation industry. Our core product, Aerros, enables our customers to plan all the maintenance on hundreds of aircraft in a matter of minutes. Our solution helps customers understand the cost and efficiency of their maintenance operations while giving them the confidence to make data-backed business decisions. Over the past seven years Aerostrat has achieved a customer base that includes some of the world’s most well-known airlines and aircraft operators. Aerostrat’s success to date has been driven by a lean team focused on transforming complex asks into an easy-to-use product.

About this role

Aerros is maintenance planning software for the aviation industry, focused on making it easy to build, analyze, and improve maintenance plans. At the core of our product is an in-house developed calendar engine and a variety of workflows for creating and editing the schedule’s data.

As a Product Designer at Aerostrat, you will be responsible for taking complex workflows and turning them into simple, easy to understand experiences. You have experience both consuming and designing B2B SaaS platforms, and a penchant towards simplicity. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to build and refine mockups and prototypes to determine the best solutions for customers. You are familiar building UI component libraries and working with engineers to drive your designs to completion. You have enough experience with web development to understand what is feasible to deliver from a development standpoint, and you’re able to build beautiful functional designs and assets from scratch.

In this role, you will...
  • Learn everything there is to know about aviation maintenance planning through our on-boarding process (so don't worry if you do not have any experience in this industry!)
  • Contribute to overall strategy and decision-making about product direction
  • Design user-centric experiences for our Aerros platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow for our customers
  • Work with us to map out and improve existing core workflows in our flagship product Aerros
  • Work with our business and engineering teams to build wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of upcoming features and products
  • Build a universal design language & UI component library to be used when developing new products and features
  • Work with our product team to analyze and improve Aerostrat’s quantitative decision making
  • Interact directly with our customer base to identify opportunities and build deep knowledge of the users’ needs and intent.
This role is great for you if...
  • You have 3+ years of experience working on B2B SaaS platforms
  • You have a high-level understanding of design systems and how individual features contribute to the overall product ecosystem
  • You have a strong portfolio showcasing experience in user research, interaction design, and visual design
  • You find satisfaction in simplifying complex workflows and tasks
  • You are comfortable being the key product designer in a lean organization
  • You have significant experience and proficiency building high quality wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma
  • You have experience designing assets with the Adobe Suite (or similar)
  • You have experience with unified design languages, and building UI component libraries
  • You have a deep understanding of usability principles
  • You have experience doing qualitative and quantitative UX research
  • You have a positive attitude and communication style - we've learned that excellent written communication and attitude go a long way for a remote team
Our benefits include...
  • Competitive compensation with opportunities for equity
  • Working remotely with flexible hours to remove commute times
  • Company paid health, vision and dental insurance with subsidized dependents
  • 20 days of PTO, 5 sick days, and 11 holidays per year
  • HSA with employer contributions
  • 401k with matching
  • Profit-sharing program
  • Monthly internet and mobile phone credits
  • Weekly DoorDash stipend and DashPass membership
  • Travel discounts with our corporate travel provider
  • FlexPerks Wellness Program
  • Annual team retreats
  • And more!
