Job summary

Route is hiring a Product Designer in Salt Lake City, UT (onsite) to shape brand and product experiences across its B2B and B2C suite. The designer will own design execution across omni-channel communications, UI for merchant and shopper experiences, and brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product and brand design experience (agency or in-house).
• Online portfolio showing visual design, design systems, communications design, motion and digital product work.
• Figma expertise including variables, auto layout, components, prototyping, AI agent, and design token structures.
• Messaging experience with email, web, and in-product messaging and knowledge of best practices by medium.
• Front-end literacy with responsive web concepts and knowledge of HTML, CSS, motion design, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Strong communication and ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Transparency

• Salary range for this role: USD 158,000 - 194,000 per year
• National: $158,000 - $167,000
• Los Angeles / Orange County: $172,000 - $182,000
• San Francisco Bay Area: $181,000 - $191,000
• New York: $183,000 - $194,000
• Cash compensation above includes base salary and may not reflect potential commission (eligible roles) or annual bonus targets under Route’s bonus plan
• All Route employees are eligible to participate in Route’s equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement
• Some roles may be eligible for overtime pay
• Individual compensation packages vary based on career level, skills, experience, geographic location qualifications, and other job-related factors

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or shopping platforms like Shopify

The Opportunity

• Craft innovative brand and product design solutions for Route’s suite of B2B and B2C products: Package Protection, Package Tracking, Returns
• Partner with the Design Director to shape Route’s visual identity across products, marketing, sales materials, and prototypes
• Hands-on role balancing deep craft with modern workflows, using AI tools to accelerate exploration, and building systems to guide growing teams
