Job summary

Divisions Maintenance Group (DMG) is seeking a Product Designer to join a world-class design team embedded in the Product & Engineering - Design group. You’ll identify opportunities, shape product vision, and deliver highly crafted products for data-driven surfaces, from data visualization to monitoring and collaboration.

You’ll partner with engineers, researchers, and product managers to drive end-to-end design solutions and contribute to the design system, ensuring high-quality experiences

Qualifications

  • 4+ years as a product designer at product-led companies.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and product partners.
  • End-to-end ownership of meaningful features or surfaces.
  • Shipped products that simplified complex workflows.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with rapid iteration cycles.
  • Ability to prototype either alone or with engineering partners.
  • Interest in the data space and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Very familiar with design tools like Figma and Whimsical.
  • Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.

Product Designers at DMG work on a variety of surfaces like data visualization, code editors, monitoring and alerting, marketplace experiences, collaboration, and more.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with the broader design team to ensure a seamless product experience.
  • Partner with researchers, data engineers, and product managers to drive solutions by leveraging qualitative and quantitative customer insights.
  • Deliver detailed, robust design solutions, and work directly with product and engineering to ensure a high-quality product reaches the hands of our customers.
  • Utilize and extend DMG's Design System.
  • Develop strong rationale for design decisions and articulate your perspective.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
What You Need:
  • 4+ years as a product designer at product-lead companies.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and product partners.
  • End-to-end ownership of meaningful features or surfaces.
  • Your end-user advocacy has shaped product experiences you can point to.
  • Shipped products that have simplified complex workflows.
  • You have iterated on shipped products based on customer usage and feedback.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with quick delivery and iteration cycles.
  • Ability to prototype either alone or with engineering partners to get out of mockups faster.
  • Interest in the data space and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Experience with web technologies like HTML, Javascript/React, and CSS.
  • Very familiar with Figma, Whimsical, and other design tools.
  • Ability to manage the stress of a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.
