Job summary

Krueger International Incorporated in Green Bay, WI, seeks a Project Engineer to support the Design team at our corporate office. Open to all experience levels, the role covers conception, design, documentation, and cross-functional problem solving for KI’s broad product portfolio.

You will collaborate with Marketing and Purchasing, contributing to cost, performance, and aesthetics validation while supporting continuous improvement of existing products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an associate's degree in mechanical design.
• 2+ years of experience in new product development for consumer or commercial products, preferably using concurrent product development and multifunctional teams.
• 2+ years of experience using CAD/CAE, preferably Creo (ProE), preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Conception and detailed design and development of product design.
• Generate documentation as needed to support the development effort.
• Apply structured critical thinking, engineering analysis, and root-cause methods to solve complex and sometimes ambiguous product and design problems.
• Develop concepts and prototypes for new and existing products and evaluate design feasibility.
• Work closely with Marketing to validate that designs meet market and client expectations for cost, performance, aesthetics, and other product requirements.
• When required, provide Project Managers and Marketing with tooling-cost information obtained from Purchasing or Manufacturing to support return-on-investment analysis.
• Work as part of a multi-functional team to provide continuous improvement support of existing product lines.
