Job description

As a Product Design Manager within EY’s Financial Services Organization (FSO) Product and Experience Design team, you will lead end-to-end design delivery for AI-first, human-centered product and experience solutions for clients. The role involves running multidisciplinary teams and shaping how design practice, standards, and AI usage support experience quality and measurable outcomes.

Role Focus

You will lead design delivery efforts across client engagements, ensuring experience quality and engagement economics are addressed throughout the work. You will also influence practice design standards, tooling, and team practices for using AI to accelerate delivery while keeping judgment with designers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery efforts across an engagement as the Product Design Manager.
• Run multidisciplinary teams of designers, researchers, and technologists, coordinating with client stakeholders.
• Own the quality of the experience delivered, including the economics of the workstreams, junior designer development, and ongoing client relationships.
• Shape practice design through standards, tooling, team AI usage, maintaining designer judgment, and case design approaches.
• Outside client engagements, support business development activities, including pursuits and proposals, plus practice-building efforts such as mentoring and training development and delivery.
• Lead workstream delivery, engagement economics, budgets, and resource planning.
• Identify additional service opportunities and lead design content in RFP responses.
• Develop people through coaching and structured feedback.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, UX Design, Interaction Design, Industrial or Product Design, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience in product or UX design, including strong exposure to enterprise platforms or complex systems.
• Alternative option: a master’s degree and 4 years of work experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading design on complex or regulated products.
• Portfolio showing both craft and outcomes.
• Experience directing and developing other designers.
• Ability to balance multiple workstreams or engagements while protecting experience quality.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and hands‑on experience contributing to design systems.
• Fluency in Agile delivery using Jira or an equivalent tool.
• Regular use of LLMs and AI-assisted design tools, including Claude, Cursor, or Figma Make, within your own practice.
• Experience defining how a team uses these tools.
• Proven ability to design data-heavy, role-based experiences.
• Strong communication with senior business, technology, and risk stakeholders, including executive-ready presentations.
• High ownership in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.
• Domestic and regional travel up to 80% to serve client needs.
