Job summary

Amazon Inc. invites candidates for a Product Design Engineer Intern role in Sunnyvale, CA. You will design and validate consumer-product concepts, building 3D models and collaborating across hardware and software teams throughout the design lifecycle.

You will interface with suppliers, contribute to R&D prototyping, and help ensure mass-production readiness while supporting cross-functional program goals.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or have completed a US-based academic program.
• Experience in 3D CAD.
• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field with expected conferral between Oct 2026–Dec 2029.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to work 40 hours/week for 12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build 3D models for testing, proof-of-concept, mock-ups, and functional appearance models.
• Find and interface with 3rd party suppliers and integrate their pieces into the system design.
• Support advanced R&D initiatives and prototyping with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with HW and SW teams to achieve integrated, effective system designs.
• Contribute to schedule milestones and cross-functional program integration.
