Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Hardware Development Engineering Intern in Sunnyvale, CA. You will work with Senior Electrical Engineers to design, debug, validate and optimize hardware, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle from concept through production.

This full-time internship lasts 12 weeks, 40 hours/week, with Winter 2027, Summer 2027 or Fall 2027 start dates. You’ll collaborate across teams and travel to support engineering builds, learning in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or have completed a US-based academic program.
• Knowledge of analog and digital skills.
• Experience in embedded systems projects.
• Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging hardware or computer architecture.

Responsibilities

• Perform schematic design.
• Validate hardware and debug issues.
• Develop automated test tools (LabVIEW, HPVEE).
• Travel to support engineering builds.
