Job summary

The role collaborates with Production, Procurement, and Quality to ensure designs meet manufacturability, quality, and safety standards, from concept through production.

Candidates should have 3+ years of mechanical design experience, SolidWorks proficiency, and hands-on prototyping expertise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and PLM/PDM systems.
• Hands-on product development and prototyping experience.
• Familiarity with GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Experience creating and managing BOMs and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and BOMs for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Quality to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Apply GD&T and tolerances to designs per industry standards.
• Participate in product development from concept through production release.
• Review and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and ECOs.
• Conduct design reviews to improve performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Support prototype builds and testing to validate designs.
• Maintain design files in PDM/PLM systems.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing during product launch and production.
