Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking an engineering professional to lead the Drafting Team and drive the development of new products for the commercial and architectural HVAC industry. This hands‑on role combines design, testing, manufacturing support, and team leadership to deliver results on schedules.

You will guide drafting activities, collaborate across departments, and seek opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs while transitioning new products into manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in engineering, product design, drafting, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and prioritize the Drafting Team to meet project schedules and business needs.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales to resolve technical challenges.
• Evaluate existing products and processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, and cost savings.
