Feldmeier Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join our Product Design Engineering team in Syracuse, NY.

This role focuses on creating sold order designs, performing design calculations, and producing CAD drawings and 3D models for fabrication and project approval. You will collaborate with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams, maintain schedules, document progress, and communicate with internal and external customers.

Job Summary:

The Product Design Engineering position is a Mechanical Engineer that works to create sold order designs. They may also be tasked with other general work tasks not specifically covered under the Product Design Engineering job description.

• Work with the project manager to maintain, document, and communicate project schedules.
• Communicate daily with internal and external customers.
• Create Bill of Materials
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• CAD and Inventor experience
• Associates degree in relevant field with related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors in mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment completing Engineering design work
• 3-5 years working in Inventor or SolidWorks
• Previous Epicor (ERP) Experience

Physical Requirements:

• Required to sit, stand, and walk; for up to 8 hours per day.
• Continuous use of the hand, arm, and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to communicate professionally, in written and oral communications.

Travel is necessary with this position for training purposes- Training is held in Syracuse, NY.
