Job description

Job Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products professionally while maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
  • Set up and prepare the Event Table for execution.
  • Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
  • Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
  • Education / Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device, applications, and internal systems.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms (including overhead tasks up to 65 inches), talk and hear, read instructions visually, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully loaded with appliances, supplies, and product, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances (cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves), and be in contact with cleaning supplies.
  • Physical Appearance: Ensure professional appearance and proper grooming; present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in training documents.
  • Language Skills: English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week; however, the company retains the discretion to change the role based on business needs and/or the client.
