Job summary

Similarweb is seeking a Product Data Scientist for the Data Labs team in New York. You will build custom reports from client needs to delivery, applying quantitative analysis to turn data into actionable insights.

Collaborate with Engineering to scale solutions and partner with Advisory Services to deliver tailored data products. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years using SQL/pySpark for data analysis.
• Experience scripting in Python.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• AWS infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Experience working with clients is advantageous.
• Familiarity with online marketing/online services is a plus.
• 2+ years in online/tech companies is advantageous.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive complex projects.

We’re looking for a sharp and driven Product Data Scientist to join our fast - paced Data Labs team. As part of a high-performing group of analysts, you’ll handle complex, custom requests from some of the biggest names in the market, turning raw data into strategic, ad hoc insights. The work is intense and constantly evolving - it requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently under pressure. You’ll need to be curious, adaptable, and willing to dive deep to find answers where others might stop. What does the day-to-day of a Product Data Science (Data Labs) at Similarweb look like:

• Building custom-made reports end to end - from meeting with the client and understanding their needs, to writing the code and setting up the report for ongoing delivery.


• Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and data mining to turn data into insights.


• Conduct research and develop tools which will help answer client's’ business. questions by using Similarweb’s raw data sets and algorithms.


• Partner with Engineering teams to establish an infrastructure to scale solutions.


• Partner with Advisory Services team of Consultants to answer strategic business questions and deliver custom data products seamlessly

This Is The Perfect Job For Someone Who Has

• At least 2 years experience with SQL/pySpark for data analysis - Must


• Experience in Python scripting - Must


• Excellent verbal and communication skills in English - Must


• AWS Infrastructure experience - Big Advantage


• Working with clients - Big Advantage.


• Proficiency in Online Marketing/Online Services - Advantage


• At least 2 years work experience in Online/Tech Company - Advantage


• Team player, autodidact, fast learner with excellent analytical, research and business skills.


• Demonstrates initiative and a proactive mindset -Must


• Experienced in independently managing complex projects from start to finish.


• Have a Bachelor's in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.


• Master's degree - Big Advantage.

The base salary range for this position in the New York City area is $100,000 to $114,000, plus benefits, including: medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K plan, potential equity, employee stock purchase plan, and paid sick and parental leave.

The base salary range above is for the New York City area, and could vary for candidates in other locations.
