Job summary

Block, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Product Data Scientist to build, measure, and improve credit products serving customers often missed by traditional credit systems.

You will partner with product, engineering, and risk teams to define metrics, evaluate experiments, and turn ambiguous questions into clear decisions. You will leverage AI tools and agent workflows to move faster, conducting end-to-end analysis from data exploration to decision support, with a focus on scalable, reusable measurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with 12+ years of related experience
• Graduate degree with 6–8+ years of related experience
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and data visualizations
• Experience using AI tools to improve analytics

Responsibilities

• Turn complex product, customer, and risk data into insights and decision frameworks for product, risk, and business partners
• Use AI tools and agent workflows to speed analytical work and improve quality
• Own end-to-end execution across analysis, metrics definition, experimentation, forecasting, visualization, and decision support
• Define measurement frameworks for credit products, including customer eligibility, repayment behavior, product usage, and loss performance
• Partner with risk teams to evaluate model and policy performance and identify bias or drift
• Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders and senior decision-makers
