Job summary

Self Financial seeks a Staff Analyst to join the Product and Customer Analytics team, owning metrics across credit builder accounts and customer lifecycles. You’ll influence roadmaps with data-driven insights and build AI-native analytics platforms to enable fast, trusted decisions.

You will partner with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to shape measurement strategies, perform advanced analysis, and deliver BI dashboards that illuminate customer cohorts and campaign performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in a data analytics role supporting product teams, preferably in fintech or consumer-facing industries.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and SQL (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience building dashboards/reports using BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Experience with analytics engineering ELT tools (dbt, Databricks, Airflow, Git).
• Experience with AI (Claude, Codex) including building skills, agents, and context harnesses.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience with A/B testing and causal inference (Bayesian and Frequentist).

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical projects to identify drivers of customer and product behavior, segmentation, and engagement.
• Contribute to data models for the portfolio in partnership with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to define measurement strategies and influence roadmap.
• Build and maintain AI-enabled analytics workflows and semantic layer for high-trust decision making.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for lifecycle KPIs, cohorts, and campaign performance.
• Apply statistical modeling and predictive analytics to forecast initiative impact.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
• Stay current on trends in financial products, AI, analytics engineering, and BI.
