Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a lawyer in a top law firm or in-house legal team working with technology companies on product development legal/regulatory aspects.
• Strong understanding of technology and ability to grasp complex operational and business models quickly.
• Self-starter thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple work streams efficiently.
• Ownership mentality with good judgment and decisions made with limited information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong cross-functional collaboration and urgency.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Background in technology law.
• Strategic thinking to align legal, technology and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Counsel the global product team on AI adoption issues, including data protection, privacy, consumer protection and product development.
• Collaborate with engineering, partnerships, privacy and security to deliver pragmatic legal advice across the product lifecycle.
• Draft, review, and update internal and external-facing terms and documents for Stripe's products and services.
• Stay up-to-date on consumer financial data access laws and regulatory trends to advise on product impacts.
• Act as a proactive business partner to the product team and contribute to Stripe's roadmap and strategy.
