Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the R&D Finance team and help explain what it costs to build, deliver and scale Cloudflare’s products. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure Finance and Pricing to turn technical resource usage and infrastructure investment into clear product unit economics and actionable financial insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in FP&A or related analytical field with financial modeling experience.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets for driver-based models and scenario analysis.
• Ability to work with large datasets, reconcile views and document controls.
• Understanding of cost drivers, gross margin and unit economics.
• Learn technical business models; connect resource use to finance outcomes.
• Strong cross‑functional communication; able to explain analyses clearly.
• Evidence of AI skill development and applying tools to finance problems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain product cost models translating compute, storage, bandwidth into unit cost‑to‑serve.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to evaluate new products and architecture changes; assess cost/margin impacts.
• Develop shared-cost analyses with Infrastructure Finance; reconcile product views to totals.
• Support Pricing with reliable cost inputs and scenario analysis for decisions.
• Analyze server costs, deployment timing, utilization across edge/core infrastructure.
• Participate in demand-versus-capacity planning and forecast updates for budgeting.
• Produce reporting on product costs, unit economics and margin drivers.
• Improve finance data pipelines and automate recurring analyses for faster close.
• Translate analysis into actionable recommendations for technical and non‑technical teams.
