Job summary

Cloudflare seeks a Financial Analyst to join its R&D Finance team, helping explain what it costs to build, deliver and scale Cloudflare products. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure Finance and Pricing to turn resource usage and infrastructure investment into clear product unit economics and actionable financial insights.

This hands-on role shifts between financial models, operational data and cross-functional problem solving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A, strategic finance or related analytics with financial models built.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets for driver-based models and scenario analysis.
• Work with large/ imperfect datasets; reconcile views and document assumptions.
• Understand financial statements, cost drivers, gross margin and unit economics.
• Learn technical business models linking resources to financial outcomes.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and clear written/verbal communication.
• Evidence of AI tool usage to improve finance analyses and automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain product cost models translating resource use into unit costs.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to assess new products and cost implications.
• Develop and validate shared-cost allocations with Infrastructure Finance.
• Support Pricing with reliable cost inputs and scenario analyses.
• Connect capital investment to product economics with depreciation and capacity insights.
• Contribute to capital and capacity planning and forecast updates.
• Produce decision-ready reporting on costs, unit economics and margins.
• Improve finance data and repeatable workflows with automation.
• Translate analysis into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
