Job summary

NextDecade Payroll Services, LLC is seeking a Product Control Manager to ensure P&L integrity, valuation accuracy, and risk reporting across trading activities. The role partners with Front Office, Risk, Credit, and Accounting to provide forward-looking insights into earnings and exposures.

You will oversee P&L processes, valuation methodologies, and system controls (ETRM/CTRM such as OpenLink/Endur), while mentoring a team and strengthening governance across a growing commodity business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8–12+ years in Product Control, Trading Support, Market Risk, or Commercial Finance in energy/commodities.
• Solid understanding of trade lifecycles, P&L attribution, valuation concepts, derivatives, and physical commodity structures.
• Hands-on experience with ETRM/CTRM platforms (OpenLink/Endur strongly preferred).
• Proven leadership experience and ability to act as an independent control authority.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L processes with validation, attribution, and variance analysis across physical and financial commodities.
• Review and challenge trading results ensuring independent identification and resolution of issues.
• Interface with Front Office, Market Risk, Credit, and Accounting to align on exposures and performance.
• Oversee ETRM/CTRM systems trade capture validation and system-generated P&L; drive data quality and automation.
• Design and maintain control policies and assist audits, including documentation and remediation.
• Lead and develop a team of product control and trading support professionals.
