Job summary

JCW Group has partnered with a global investment bank to hire a Director of Product Control covering the Global Equity Derivatives business in New York. This is a senior leadership role with significant Front Office exposure, where you'll manage a team of controllers.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to Front Office, Technology, Risk and Finance stakeholders, ensuring P&L validation and robust substantiation of the balance sheet while guiding significant product changes and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Product Control experience.
• Experience in Equity Derivatives and Equity Financing businesses.
• People management experience leading large teams.
• University degree with a professional accounting/finance designation (CPA, CFA, CMA) or an MBA is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of controllers supporting P&L validation processes and P&L attribution metrics for Volcker Reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet through robust substantiation, including review and sign-off of key controls and SOX controls.
• Act as a key advisor to Front Office, Risk, Finance and other stakeholders, providing insight and analysis of financial results and escalating significant irregularities to senior management.
• Review and approve new products and material business changes, and monitor operational issues across the assigned trading portfolios.
