Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks a Product Compliance Engineer to lead UL, ASSE, and DOT regulatory activities across the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and external agencies to ensure compliance while supporting innovation and time-to-market goals.

In this role, you will own UL registration processes, maintain regulatory documentation, and monitor changes impacting current and future products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• Experience in either product compliance, regulatory engineering or quality.
• Experience working with third-party test laboratories and certification bodies.
• Strong technical writing and communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead certification, listing, registration and regulatory approvals for the Enclosures Product Line.
• Support product compliance strategies during new product development.
• Lead product compliance execution during new product development process.
• Own full cycle for UL registration and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Submit and maintain required documentation for DOT compliance and ensure ongoing compliance with transportation requirements.
• Evaluate and monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on products.
• Maintain technical files, certifications, declarations, and audit records.
• Support certification audits and regulatory inspections with CSA and UL.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve compliance issues.
• Develop compliance procedures, training materials, and best practices.
• Maintain testing documentation and ensure testing is completed for registrations and ongoing compliance.
• Develop and maintain budget for compliance by agency costs.
• Become a subject matter expert for UL, DOT and regulatory testing requirements.
• Lead contact for Customer Service and BU team requests for regulatory guidelines.
• Identify incremental product distribution opportunities based on competitive assessment for compliance registration
