Job summary

UL Solutions in Northbrook, IL seeks an HVAC Compliance Engineer to support product safety, compliance, and certification initiatives. You will collaborate with engineering teams, review technical data, and help ensure HVAC products meet applicable standards.

Travel to client sites may be required as you promote UL services, prepare reports, and apply UL requirements. The role offers growth, exposure to leading safety programs, and a path toward senior project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available data, and product construction.
• Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites and initial communication with clients to promote UL services.
• Follows up on contacts from clients and discusses technical issues, UL procedures, project costs, and sample requirements.
• Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services, establishing test programs per UL requirements.
• Examines samples for compliance with UL requirements and notifies client of non-compliance or scope changes.
