Job summary

Snap Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a Manager, Communications to join the Product Comms team. You will develop and execute communications for Snapchat, SPECS, and major product initiatives, translating complex tech into clear, engaging narratives for media and audiences.

You will build strong relationships with reporters, collaborate with Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Policy, and Legal, and guide executives and spokespeople through media moments.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, product communications, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications strategies for major products, features, launches, and initiatives across Snapchat and SPECS.
• Identify proactive stories and consumer-facing opportunities to show product use and differentiation.
• Translate complex technology and product updates into simple, compelling narratives for media, consumers and partners.
• Build strong relationships with reporters across consumer, technology and culture beats and develop creative ways to earn attention beyond launches.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Policy, Legal, and other teams on coordinated campaigns and communications around priority initiatives.
