Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive Product Commercialization across stakeholder groups in a hybrid New Jersey setting. You will lead end-to-end commercialization efforts, align project portfolios with strategic priorities, and ensure compliance with policy, SOX, and governance standards.

The role requires extensive experience in product lifecycle management, data analytics, and executive reporting, with a focus on AI-enabled initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training.
• Experience working in program and/or project management.
• Knowledge of product or product life cycle management.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred as an additional qualification.
• Master's degree preferred as an additional qualification.
• Three or more years of experience in Product, Operations, GTS, or Business Strategy.
• Experience with Verizon systems including Clarity, JIRA, and Google Suite.
• Strong data analysis, trend identification, and executive-level reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and aligning groups to a common goal.
• Understanding of organizational objectives, functions, and motivation.
• Ability to prioritize and execute effectively.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts relevant to Verizon business performance.
• Understanding of the Verizon Business portfolio and solution capabilities.
• Experience utilizing AI tools and capabilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Support the Product Commercialization Process (PCPr) across stakeholders and partners
• Lead and support Product Commercialization Processes alongside Product Owners through each stage
• Ensure projects progress efficiently and comply with applicable standards, requirements, guidelines, Verizon Corporate Policy Statements, SOX audit requirements, and the Verizon Credo
• Manage a portfolio of projects aligned with Product Organization priorities, primarily the AI Connect portfolio
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the Product Commercialization Process, workflow, systems, and tools
• Create and manage assigned portfolios within the Product Commercialization Process
• Identify process, workflow, orchestration, AI, and automation improvements
• Collaborate across Portfolio and Product Management, technology partners, and stakeholder organizations to identify duplicated scope, requirements, and dependencies
• Partner with technology and business leaders to define and evolve program/project priorities and development increments
• Coordinate scope, use cases, technical requirements, product design, and functional testing
• Ensure alignment with approved scope, project sizing, budgets, and timelines
• Maintain data integrity, data management, reporting, and project-date tracking
• Monitor monthly program/project capital spend across technology organizations
• Provide direction, pragmatic problem-solving, encouragement, and constructive criticism
• Determine root causes, quantify impact, and pursue impactful solutions
• Drive solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and experience
• Maintain understanding of product roadmaps, deliverables, and priorities to guide project and portfolio throughput and velocity
• Establish partnerships across Product and Partner Organizations and stakeholder groups
