Job summary

Southwest Boulder & Stone is hiring a Yard Assistant at our Chula Vista location. The role involves assisting customers, loading vehicles, weighing trucks, and maintaining yard organization while following safety procedures.

Full-time, weekends rotation, with benefits including health coverage and 401(k). Prior forklift experience is a plus, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Meet & Greet customers
• Assist customers with product selection and sales
• Load customer vehicles, checking for accuracy
• Weigh trucks when needed
• Coordinate yard upkeep with yard foreman
• Ensure proper tagging, weighing, and storage of products
• Ensure scales and yard areas are clean of debris
• Maintain tool cleanliness and product organization/visibility in yard
• Operate equipment as needed using checklist and safety measures
• Assist Drivers when needed
• Establish sales leads from customers
• Participate in progressive training on current and new product lines
• Complete product knowledge testing
