Job summary

Southwest Boulder & Stone is hiring a Product Assistant/Yard Assistant in Chula Vista. The role involves greeting customers, assisting with product selection and sales, loading vehicles, weighing trucks, and coordinating yard upkeep. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and may need forklift experience.

We are seeking a Yard Assistant to join our Chula Vista location!

Essential Job Functions

• Meet & Greet customers
• Assist customers with product selection and sales
• Load customer vehicles, checking for accuracy
• Weigh trucks when needed
• Coordinate yard upkeep with yard foreman
• Ensure proper tagging, weighing, and storage of products
• Ensure scales and yard areas are clean of debris
• Maintain tool cleanliness and product organization/visibility in yard
• Operate equipment as needed using checklist and safety measures
• Assist Drivers when needed
• Establish sales leads from customers
• Participate in progressive training on current and new product lines
• Complete product knowledge testing

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Prior forklift experience/certification a plus
• Ability to work rotational weekends
• Operate forklifts
• Learn material within a successful timeline
