Responsibilities

• Tracks, monitors, and provides timely updates and complete documentation for open production work orders to ensure service level standards are met.
• Assists with product delivery and follows safety rules for PDS trucks.
• Coordinates on-time delivery/pickups with Logistics and interacts with clients regularly.
• Enters required information in the regulated DOT driver logbook.
• Promotes continuous improvement through problem solving and workflow innovations.

Position Title: Product and Delivery Specialist

Position Location: Plymouth Configuration Center, Plymouth, MN

Reports to: Supervisor, Plymouth Configuration Center

Job Summary:

The Product and Delivery Specialist will be part of the PDS team providing high-quality solutions to our customers to ensure their investment in technology is consistent with their business objectives. Product and Delivery Specialist, working with engineers, represent PDS on the front line of customer support and play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the PDS Configuration and Cross Dock Centers. They receive and control inventory, must be able to perform on the spot problem solving, prepare orders for shipment and thrive in a team environment.

Essential Functions:

• Prepares work site by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials. A large percentage of work time is spent performing the duty.
• Identifies and verifies shipments against purchase orders, receiving new parts into inventory, stages inventory according to company standards, reports inventory variances, and participates in physical inventories.
• Pulls and stages orders from inventory.

• Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and providing timely updates and complete documentation for open production work orders to ensure service level standards are met.
• Assists with product delivery if/as needed.
  • Follows all “rules of the road” and operates PDS trucks in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for delivery and/or pickup activities of delicate computer equipment.
  • Works closely with Logistics department to coordinate on-time delivery/pickups.
  • Interacts with clients on a regular basis.
  • Enters required information in the regulated DOT driver logbook.

• Promotes a culture of continuous improvement through problem solving, preventing defects, and workflow innovation recommendations.
• Participates in regular staff meetings and communicates relevant information.
• Performs other duties as required.
