Job Description:

Product Analyst

Location: Eagan, Minnesota (Remote)

Role Overview

The Senior Product Analyst serves as a collaborative, self‑directed member of a Scrum team. This role connects business needs, user problems, and product strategy to clear, executable solutions. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy while working closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, System Engineers, Quality Engineering, Scrum Masters, external partners, and other delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead product analysis for complex initiatives from discovery through implementation and acceptance.
  • Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand user needs, business problems, desired outcomes, and product priorities.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting analysis.
  • Break down epics and large initiatives into appropriately sized, testable, value‑focused stories.
  • Ensure stories are ready for development by identifying business rules, dependencies, data needs, risks, assumptions, and edge cases.
  • Lead and actively participate in backlog refinement, planning, reviews, demonstrations, retrospectives, and other Scrum events.
  • Collaborate throughout delivery with System Engineers, Quality Engineering, and other Scrum team members to resolve questions and support shared understanding.
  • Evaluate completed work against approved acceptance criteria and intended business outcomes.
  • Mentor less‑experienced Product Analysts and contribute to improvements in Product Analysis practices.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Significant experience in product analysis, business analysis, or a related role within a product or technology delivery environment is required. Experience working as an embedded member of a Scrum team and actively participating in iterative product delivery is necessary. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to independently lead complex analysis from discovery through delivery and acceptance. Experience collaborating with Product Owners, engineers, Quality Engineering, Scrum Masters, business stakeholders, and delivery partners is also required.

Skills: Strong skills in problem framing, requirements analysis, user story development, acceptance criteria, backlog refinement, and epic decomposition are needed. The role requires the ability to connect product requirements and decisions to user needs, business priorities, and measurable value. Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑support skills are essential. Candidates must possess strong written, verbal, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills and have the ability to operate effectively in complex and rapidly changing environments.

Technical Skills: Experience using Jira or a comparable backlog‑management platform is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefit management, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience supporting contact center products, platforms, operations, workflows, or customer‑service capabilities.
  • Experience with complex products involving multiple systems, integrations, data dependencies, stakeholders, or external partners.
What Success Looks Like

A successful Senior Product Analyst creates clarity, maintains momentum, and keeps work focused on user and business value. This individual is a trusted partner who anticipates issues, presents informed options, supports effective decisions, and helps the Scrum team deliver complete, testable, and valuable outcomes. Success includes delivering clear, actionable, and development‑ready backlog items and ensuring strong alignment among business, product, technical, and operational stakeholders.
