Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Product Analyst to bridge the product vision and software development. You will translate customer needs into user stories, define acceptance criteria, and help shape the product roadmap while coordinating with engineers, designers, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has hands-on Agile Scrum experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, organized mindset.

U.S. citizenship is required, and prior work with Atlassian tools and cybersecurity domain knowledge

Qualifications

• Experience working with Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence).
• Experience in a Product Owner role in an enterprise software company.
• Knowledge in the cybersecurity domain.

Overview

The ProductAnalystwill serve as the liaison between the product vision and software implementation/development.This roleis responsible forcommunicationon development progress, milestones, and deliverables across the organization.Coordinates withthose involved in the design,modificationand evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile environment to plan product releases that balance customer needs and businessgoals
• Work alongside Tech Lead and Scrum Master in the planning, execution, and review of each sprint,identifyingopportunities andrisks
• Work with Product Manager to understand andvalidatecustomer needs; contribute to productroadmap
• Translate needs into user stories, define their acceptance criteria, and verify when they aremet
• Be the expert of customer workflows and needs, acting as the voice of our customers for teamquestions
• Ensure transparency into the development progress and relay milestones and deliverables tostakeholders
• Gather needs and feedback from many sources and decide what will best deliver value to customers; including decisions on what NOT tobuild
• Manage, refine, and prioritize the backlog of needs to drive business value based on product roadmap andstrategy
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to get buy in on the priority order of the productbacklog
• Work closely with your development team to ensure they understand problems to be solved, expected outcomes, and businesscontext
• Develops understanding of how features/workflows impact customer retention and customergrowth
• Assistsin prioritizing the backlog to drive businessvalue
• Develops understanding of our current customers/ users and why they use our products/features
• Targeted research of specific competitors

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of Agile Scrum Methodology
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, motivate, and build alignment with teams acrossdifferent functionsin theorganization
• Proactive, self-starter with excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple taskseffectively
• Product Owner or Scrum Master certification
• Experience working with Atlassiantools
• Experience in a Product Owner role in an enterprise software company
• Knowledge in the cybersecurity domain
