Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield Association is seeking a Product Analyst to partner with product managers, directors, and engineering teams to drive data-informed product strategy. You will transform requirements into user stories, create dashboards, define KPIs, and analyze customer behavior to shape roadmaps across our portfolio.

You will work with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, navigate ambiguity, and ensure compliance with SOC 2 and HIPAA while delivering evidence-based product

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product analysis or analytics roles.
• Client-facing experience articulating design and methodology while incorporating feedback into product definitions.
• Healthcare consulting experience strongly preferred.

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a Product Analyst to partner with product managers, directors, and engineering teams to drive data-informed product strategy. This role bridges business and technical domains, transforming requirements into user stories, conducting in-depth analysis, and delivering insights that shape product roadmaps. The Product Analyst will use data, visualization, and market research to identify opportunities, optimize product experiences, and ensure BHI delivers value to customers across our portfolio.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Translate business requirements into user stories and technical features that enable development teams to build impactful functionality.

• Develop dashboards, reports, and analyses (Tableau preferred) to provide stakeholders with actionable insights.

• Define and track KPIs across the product portfolio, measuring performance and adoption.

• Conduct customer behavior analysis using product analytics tools to inform roadmap decisions.

• Work directly with product managers, business leaders, and engineering teams to deliver new product experiences and enhancements.

• Collaborate with design and stakeholders to define user acceptance criteria.

• Support client-facing activities tied to product lifecycle, ensuring product features align with customer needs.

• Conduct competitive landscape and market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Use data to identify problems worth solving and propose solutions that align with customer and business needs.

• Independently navigate ambiguity, test hypotheses, and recommend product improvements based on evidence.

• Share insights with senior product leaders to influence roadmap prioritization.

• Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and a growth mindset in learning new tools, frameworks, and approaches.

• Follow BHI’s compliance practices, including SOC 2, HIPAA, and secure data handling standards.

• Contribute to documentation and audit-readiness activities as part of product governance.

The posting range for this position is:

80,900.00 - 117,275.00

Required Education, Certifications and Experience:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or related field
• Master’sPreferred

Experience

• 5+yearsof experience in product analysis, business analysis, or related analytics roles
• Client-facing experience articulating design and methodology while extracting and incorporating feedback into product definitions.
• Product owner / analyst experience preferred.
• Healthcare consulting experience strongly preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Proficiencyin SQL (aggregate functions, joins) and data visualization tools (Tableau preferred). Experience in SaaS or API-driven product environments and with healthcare data/analytics. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; comfort working with ambiguous inputs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, withabilityto present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance and data governance requirements.
• Ability to define product requirements with demonstrable client value.
• Ability to assess and translate customer needs into product requirements by identifying underlying business objectives, challenging assumptions, and ensuring proposed solutions deliver measurable value.
• Preferred: Demonstrates AI literacy and an understanding of generative AI tools, including appropriate business applications and limitations.

This job is also eligible for annual bonus incentive pay.
