In seven years, we’ve become the country’s #1 non-bank HELOC lender. As a financial technology firm operating at the intersection of regulation and transformation, we’re a “unicorn” – a group of fewer than 1000 companies globally that is valued at $1B or more and has been in operation for less than ten years.

Our mission requires us to have a creative, team-oriented, and supportive environment where everyone can do their absolute best. We are motivated, innovative, collaborative, and curious. We value individuals who bring a problem-solving mindset to every task. Every day at Figure is a journey in continuous learning combined with a focus on getting work done that makes a difference. Join us!

Figure is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Accounting Manager who is ready to make a powerful impact! In this role, you will lead critical financial operations related to loan transactions and servicing. You will also help with automations as well as play a key part in building and refining processes as we scale at lightning speed. We’re a team of trailblazers transforming the financial services industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of loan accounting by integrating traditional financial practices with innovative technologies. If you're passionate about transforming financial services and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, join our forward-thinking team.

What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of daily financial operations related to loan transactions, servicing, and sales activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of loan accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence, ensuring the team operates efficiently to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Manage the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciling loan-related accounts with precision.
  • Develop and implement loan accounting policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with GAAP.
  • Partner with external auditors to provide documentation and support for a seamless audit process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, to solve loan accounting challenges and identify process improvements.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline loan data reporting and enhance real-time decision-making capabilities.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives that support business growth and scalability, especially in loan origination and servicing.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or similar certification is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on loan accounting. Fintech, public accounting, or startup experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of loan structures, servicing processes, and financial reporting for loan portfolios.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all work and deliverables
  • Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to drive automation initiatives and streamline processes.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to write clear and concise accounting documentation.
  • A proactive self-starter who can work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to a shared vision of excellence.
  • Compensation Range: $102,400 - $128,000
  • Equity stock options package
