Job summary

NBCUniversal Local is seeking a Producer for a new live daily studio show focused on the Boston/New England cultural landscape. You will oversee all aspects from concept to delivery and drive multi-platform original content for NBC Boston.

You will manage on-air talent, develop engaging segments, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align with business objectives and advertising campaigns. This on-site role requires evening and weekend availability in Needham, MA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in television production, including live shows.
  • Experience leading a team to align on initiatives and voice.
  • Experience with editing software; Adobe Premiere knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in using social media as a content driver and delivery platform.
  • Team-first mindset with ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Be the creative engine for a live daily studio show from inception to delivery.
  • Search for relevant content around the Boston zeitgeist to develop engaging segments.
  • Manage multiple on-air personalities for optimal performances.
  • Build show graphics, lower thirds, and full-screens for social platforms.
  • Coordinate with Ops to ensure technical execution in a live control room.
  • Collaborate with content, production, social, ad sales and marketing to meet goals.
  • Serve as feature/field producer when needed.

Job Description

AstheProducer of Studio& Creative Content,yourprimary rolewill be toworkon a new dailyshowthat’sdrivenbystoriescentered around theBoston/New Englandcultural landscape.The panel-based showwillbring togethera diverse group ofon-airtalentto drill downon the topics that create the most engagement and conversation amongBostonians.TheProducerwill alsoassistwith the strategy and creation of multi-platform original contentfor NBC Boston.

Responsibilities
  • Be the creative engine foralivedaily studio show,managing all aspectsof the show frominceptionto delivery
  • Proactively search for the latest and most relevant content around theBoston zeitgeisttodevelop engaging and entertaining segments
  • Managemultiple on-air personalities with strong preparation and communicationto get the absolute bestperformances
  • Provide research for and have ability to build show graphics, including creating and overseeing lower thirds and full-screens that also resonate on social media platforms
  • Communicate effectively with Ops team to ensure best technical execution, this includes being comfortable in alivecontrol room setting
  • Liaison with other in-house departments(content, production,social media, ad sales, marketing) to ensure all goals and initiativesare fulfilled including advertising campaigns andlong term business objectives.
  • Ability towork as a feature/field producer in both a forward-facing and behind the scenes capacity

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of (3)yearsexperiencein television production,inclusive of live shows
  • Experience in leadinga teamtocreate alignment onall initiatives supporting the show, including capturing the proper voice and tone
  • Experience in some level of editingsoftware, Adobe Premier knowledgepreferred
  • Experiencein impact of social media as a content driver and delivery platform
  • Team-first mindsetmixed with the ability to beself-motivated, detail-oriented, work independently, and perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Additional Requirements
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and an adjustable, team-based schedule
  • Must be willing to work in Needham, MA 5 days per week
  • Required on-site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
