Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Produce Team Leader to support the Produce Manager by guiding Team Members, ordering materials, and driving merchandising initiatives.

The role requires willingness to follow the competency model and deliver profitable growth targets while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction. Experience in grocery/produce management and 1–3 years in related roles is ideal, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: 1 to 3 years in related fields.
• Experience in grocery/produce management preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret Profit and Loss statements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for Customers and Team Members.
• Direct Team Members using work lists and supervise training.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrate knowledge and passion for products and services.
• Write department orders and supervise stocking and receiving with automated systems.
• Manage inventories and order supplies to meet customer needs.
• Understand and apply the Collective Bargaining Agreement and schedule accordingly.
• Prepare and track inventories to calculate monthly gross profits.
• Develop merchandising plans to meet department financial goals.
• Control department costs and improve operations to boost profitability.
