Job summary

Giant Eagle is seeking a Produce Team Leader to manage the Produce Team and ensure fresh seasonal offerings. You will guide Team Members and guests with a focus on quality, safety, and service, while representing the store professionally and fostering inclusion and growth.

You’ll coach team members, set expectations, monitor performance, and drive initiatives to meet sales and shrink goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: 3 to 5 years.
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience Desired: Prior management or leadership recommendation

Responsibilities

• Interview, select and train Team Members.
• Direct the work of Team Members.
• Appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for promotions or changes in status.
• Handle Team Member issues including complaints.
• Discipline Team Members.
• Plan and distribute the work; provide for safety and security of Team Members or the store; manage the department budget and inventory; monitor compliance measures.
• Oversee period inventories and monitor weekly fluctuations in inventory and shrink dollars.
