Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Produce Team Leader to support the Produce Manager by directing Team Members, ordering raw materials, and implementing merchandising initiatives to grow the business while meeting customer needs and maximizing profits.

The role requires leadership experience, the ability to follow a competency model, and delivering profitable growth targets. You will work with the Produce team to ensure safe, efficient operations and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in grocery/produce operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds and age 18+.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe, clean environment meeting health and OSHA standards.
• Direct Team Members by using work lists and oversee training.
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrate knowledge and passion for produce products and services.
• Write department orders and supervise stocking and receiving with ordering systems.
• Manage inventories by tracking weekly reports to meet customer needs and profits.
• Understand and adhere to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Prepare inventories and processes to calculate monthly gross profits.
• Develop merchandising plans to meet department financial objectives.
• Control costs by monitoring operations to increase profitability.
