Job summary

Fiesta Mart Cypress is seeking a Utilities Clerk (ages 16-17) to support the Produce Department and help customers on the floor. You will bag groceries, carry out groceries when needed, and help keep the store clean and safe at all times.

You'll work in a fast-paced grocery environment, with duties including cart retrieval, price checks, go-backs, and maintaining check stands. Basic physical tasks and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with customers and co-workers
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Produce Department and help customers on the store floor as needed
• Bag groceries for customers and carry out groceries when requested
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; manage carts and parking lot waste
• Run price checks, assist with go-backs, and upkeep of check stands
