Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Produce Department Associate to deliver friendly, fast service while maintaining product quality and safety in the Produce area. You will assist customers, stock, and display items in accordance with company standards to drive sales.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, ensuring accurate ordering and product presentation, and following food safety policies. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Produce Department, maximizing sales and minimizing shrink.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department and ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures, and report accidents as required.
