Job summary

ShopRite of Yardley in Yardley, PA is seeking a Produce Department Associate to provide friendly customer service while pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise. You will maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing department and support other tasks as required in a safe, efficient manner.

The role requires the ability to read and speak English, perform basic math, stand for long periods, and lift up to 60 lbs. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English and understand basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk during shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried, and/or processed products and withstand dust.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Price, stock, and rotate produce to maintain a clean, organized department.
• Ensure proper code dating, stocking, and restocking products.
• Maintain sanitation standards and safe handling of all products.
• Keep display cases stocked and products attractive and accurately labeled.
• Follow company policies and safety regulations at all times.
