Job summary

ShopRite of Birney Plaza in Moosic, PA is seeking a Produce Department Associate to price, stock, and rotate merchandise, and to deliver a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Basic math skills.
• Stand/walk for full shifts.
• Lift 25 lbs regularly; up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others; maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, safe work area.
• Differentiate produce types by flavor, seasonality, and use.
• Receive, date, prepare, store, price-mark, and restock products.
• Maintain sanitation and QA standards; manage cardboard and refuse.
• Operate a baler and compactor as required.
• Follow safety, health, and regulatory guidelines for Produce.
• Keep displays stocked with attractive signage; ensure proper rotation.
• Handle damaged goods per policy and control waste.
• Regularly lift/pull/push 25 lbs; up to 60 lbs as needed.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise to Produce Dept.
• Adhere to COO L and shrink guidelines for Produce.
• Follow QA handwashing standards and wear gloves as needed.
• Complete department training and uphold ShopRite priorities.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance; work overtime if required.
