Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Produce Team Member in Austin to support the Produce department with receiving, stocking, and displaying products in line with WFM standards. You will help maintain clean shelves, assist with seasonal items, and deliver friendly service to customers and Team Members.

The role emphasizes safety, health standards, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh, appealing display; keeps cases and shelves clean and stocked; face products fronting and rotate stock.
• Assists Team Leader with organizing seasonal items and display.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and leadership.
• Completes worksheets on spoilage, temperature, and sweeps as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques; answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Adheres to health, safety, and sanitation procedures; maintains clean work and shopping environments.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accurate signage and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations; performs other duties as assigned.
