Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Produce Team Member to support receiving and preparing products, maintain the Produce floor and displays, and assist customers in line with WFM standards.

The role involves breaking down deliveries, stocking shelves, and contributing to store programs while adhering to health and safety regulations. A positive, customer-focused attitude and ability to work a flexible schedule are essential.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork.
• Commitment to safety and food handling standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintains fresh, appealing produce displays by front-facing, rotating stock, checking codes, and removing outdated items.
• Assists Team Leader with organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, well-groomed and ready to work; participates in trainings and meetings.
• Provides courteous, efficient service, answers phones, and suggests add-on sales.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising of produce.
• Follows procedures for health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains clean, sanitary working and shopping environment; keeps equipment clean.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accurate pricing and signage.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
