Job summary

Jimbo’s in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Produce Department Supervisor to ensure daily operations run smoothly and provide outstanding leadership to the Produce team.

You will supervise staff, train new employees, enforce health and safety standards, manage tasks, and maintain product quality and inventory. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow Department of Health regulations and obtain Food Handler’s Certificate within 10 days of employment.
• Strong knowledge of Produce Department operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Leadership and team-building capabilities with coaching and performance feedback abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Produce Clerk duties and supervise the Produce staff.
• Proactively assist customers and uphold Customer Service Standards.
• Represent Jimbo’s and manage department operations in the Produce Manager’s absence.
• Enforce store policies, minimize overtime, train staff, and document performance feedback.
• Assist Produce Manager with department development and succession planning.
• Supervise staff, delegate tasks, and address performance issues.
