Jimbo’s in San Diego’s Carmel Valley area is seeking a Produce Department Supervisor to ensure daily operations run smoothly and safely. You will lead the Produce staff, assist customers, and uphold quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized department.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills to oversee tasks, inventory, displays, and adherence to health regulations.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow health regulations; Food Handler’s Certificate within 10 days.
• Strong knowledge of Produce Department operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong time management with multitasking ability.
• Leadership and team-building capabilities; able to coach and supervise.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Produce Department staff and delegate tasks.
• Assist customers following Customer Service Standards.
• Represent Jimbo’s in the absence of the Produce Manager.
• Enforce store policies, minimize overtime, and document performance.
• Assist in department development and staff training.
• Prepare daily task list and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain product quality through proper rotation and inventory control.
• Coordinate displays and department signage with Produce Manager.
• Communicate feedback to Produce Manager promptly.
• Attend department and store meetings.
