Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other tasks as assigned:

1. Keep the produce department well-stocked and appealing to meet customer demands. Greet customers, answer questions, handle special requests, and resolve concerns professionally.
2. Unpack merchandise, clean and trim produce, stock the area, rotate stock for freshness, and ensure proper pricing and signage. Maintain salad bar and cut fruit/vegetable displays.
3. Assist in building attractive displays and complete product logs. Handle spoiled, damaged, new, and discontinued items according to company policy.
4. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department, following schedules and health regulations. Properly dispose of trash.
5. Minimize shrinkage and control damages by reporting shortages and overages.
6. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, operating equipment if trained. Training provided.
7. Assist with baling cardboard and related duties if trained. Training provided.
8. Ensure smooth department and store operation through cooperation with colleagues and supervisors. Strive to improve job performance continually.
9. Utilize all provided PPE, including gloves, cutters, footwear, etc.
10. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Currently, this position has no supervisory responsibilities.
