Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following duties, among others:

• Keep the produce department well-stocked and appealing to meet customer demands. Greet customers, answer questions, handle special requests such as filling orders for fruit baskets, and resolve concerns professionally.
• Unpack merchandise, clean and trim produce, stock the area, rotate stock for freshness, and ensure correct pricing and signage. Maintain salad bar and cut produce as needed.
• Build attractive displays, complete product logs, and handle spoiled, damaged, or discontinued items according to company policy.
• Maintain sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and health regulations. Properly dispose of trash.
• Assist in minimizing shrinkage and controlling damages by reporting shortages and overages.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, including operation of power or hand jacks if trained (training provided).
• Assist with baling cardboard or related duties if trained (training provided).
• Ensure department and store smooth operation through teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Utilize all provided PPE, including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and footwear.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

Must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily, with or without accommodation. Requirements include:

• High School Diploma or GED (completed or in progress). No prior experience required.
