Job summary

Palmer Food Services in Rochester, NY is seeking a full-time warehouse associate focused on produce quality and accuracy in receiving. You will inspect incoming stock, perform daily quality checks, and coordinate with the Buyer on any discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state issued equivalency certificate.
• Communicates well with team members and customers.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Computer knowledge with ability to adapt to warehouse software.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Nurture an environment that inspires associates to reach their potential and contribute to the team and company.
• Maintain produce quality to meet freshness, ripeness and overall quality standards.
• Inspect incoming produce for freshness and quality before acceptance.
• Conduct daily quality checks of inventory for deterioration or damage.
• Notify Buyer of quality concerns and follow through on corrective actions.
• Ensure daily splits are completed accurately per Buyer directions.
• Understand Operating System and create required receiving paperwork.
• Review receiving docs and HACCP notes on bills of lading.
• Communicate late deliveries or discrepancies to Purchasing.
