Job summary

The Chefs’ Warehouse, Inc. is seeking a Produce Specialist in Walnut, CA. You will rework produce as it is received, ensuring high-quality standards and strict GMP compliance. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with an emphasis on accurate record-keeping and cross-department support.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of produce QC experience, plus familiarity with GMPs and food safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 years of previous quality control experience with produce.
• Quality control experience in a produce warehouse preferred.
• Employee shall adhere to all food safety policies, procedures, and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Inspects all incoming produce for defects.
• Conducts routine audits to ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Culls, trims, and repacks produce to meet presentation and quality guidelines.
• Maintains all paperwork in an accurate, orderly fashion.
• Assists other departments as needed.
