Job summary

H Mart seeks a detail-oriented Produce Procurement Specialist to source high-quality produce at competitive prices, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery. The role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to maintain efficient purchasing operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience, bilingual Korean-English preferred, and be comfortable working in refrigerated environments.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Great communication and negotiation skills
• Must be able to communicate/negotiate effectively with produce item suppliers
• Constantly work in low temperatures under 38 F
• Occasionally move produce boxes up to 50 pounds while checking quantity/quality
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Bilingual in Korean and English preferred

Responsibilities

• Create a purchase order and sales order, and follow up until the product is received
• Source at the lowest possible price while maintaining high quality
• Check the quality and quantity of incoming products
• Work with warehouse employees and suppliers on delivery problems, back-orders, and returns
• Manage produce inventories in refrigerated storage
• Assist with new item forms and sales templates for seasonal projects
• Analyze purchases and sales data
• Administrative works for the Produce department
• Store visits for quality-assurance and sales status of produce

Responsibilities But Not Limited To

• Create a purchase order and sales order, and follow up until the product is successfully received
• Source at the lowest possible price, while maintaining the highest quality standards
• Check the quality and quantity of incoming products
• Work with warehouse employees and suppliers on delivery problems, back-orders, and product returns
• Manage produce inventories in a refrigerated storage
• Assist with completing new item forms and sales templates for seasonal and special projects
• Analyze purchases and sales data
• Administrative works for the Produce department
• Store visits for quality-assurance and sales status of produce

Work Hours

• MON-FRI, 7:30am to 5:30pm (lunch 11:30 ~ 12:30); 45 hours/week

Annual Salary

Annual Salary : $60,000.00, FLSA Non Exempt

• Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
